This article provides instructions for refreshing the HqO app and clearing cached data on your mobile device. These steps can resolve common issues such as app freezing, slow performance, or outdated content display.
When to Use These Steps
Consider refreshing the app or clearing cache if you experience:
- App not loading properly or displaying outdated information
- Slow app performance or freezing
- Login or authentication issues
- Content not syncing correctly
Refreshing the HqO App
Refreshing the app signs you out and back in, which reloads your data and can resolve many common issues.
Follow these steps to refresh the HqO app:
- Open the HqO app on your device
- Navigate to your Profile section
- Tap Log out
- Sign back into HqO using your credentials
- The app will automatically refresh and reload your data
This process typically resolves issues related to stale data or temporary sync problems.
Clearing App Cache
If refreshing the app doesn't resolve your issue, clearing the app's cache removes temporary files that may be causing problems.
For iPhone Users
iOS does not provide a built-in option to clear cache for all apps simultaneously. You'll need to offload and reinstall the HqO app to clear its cache.
Steps to clear cache on iPhone:
- Go to Settings on your iPhone
- Tap General
- Tap iPhone Storage
- Scroll through the list of apps and locate HqO
- Tap on the HqO app
- Tap Offload App (this removes the app but preserves your documents and data)
- After offloading completes, tap Reinstall App
Note: Some apps include their own cache-clearing option within the app's settings menu. Check the HqO app settings first before offloading.
For Android Users
Android provides a straightforward method to clear cache for individual apps.
Clear cache for HqO app:
- Go to Settings on your Android device
- Tap Apps or Other Apps (wording may vary by device)
- Locate and select the HqO app from the list
- Tap Clear Cache
Clear cache for all apps (if available):
Some Android devices offer the ability to clear cache for all apps at once:
- Go to Settings
- Tap Storage
- Tap Cached data
- Tap OK to confirm clearing all app caches
Important: Steps may vary slightly depending on your Android device model and operating system version. If you cannot locate these options, consult your device manufacturer's support documentation.
What's the Difference?
Refreshing the app logs you out and back in, reloading your account data and settings. This is the quickest solution for most issues.
Clearing cache removes temporary files stored by the app. This is helpful when the app is running slowly or displaying corrupted data. Note that clearing cache will require the app to re-download certain data, which may temporarily slow performance on first launch.
